Initial conditions of the project:
In the case of the bank concerned, we have been working in several branches across the country for almost two years. The task of H1 Systems is to modernize the security systems of bank branches in accordance with strict banking security standards, replacing the devices with modern ones, all done almost invisibly.
Challenges during the project:
During the upgrading of the security systems of the bank branches (fire and intrusion alarm, access control system, CCTV) we met precisely defined expectations and requirements, which not every company can meet. The areas of bank branches are subject to strict entry rules, which have challenged our experts during the course of work. The works in the branches in operation could only be performed “invisibly”, since it is essential that the clients do not see or feel anything from them, and they shall not disturb the operation of the branch and the seamless customer service in any way. The goal and the expectation is that during and after the construction process the morning opening of the bank branches should take place without interruption, in turn, this assumes the continuous, reliable, stable operation of the security systems with 100% safety. The relevant bank branches, in which the reconstructions were carried out, may be located at a distance of several hundred km from our central office in Budapest, despite all this, whatever problems might arose, our colleagues had to be immediately available on site. The procurement of equipment related to the modernisation of security systems has imposed further challenges. To ensure the continuous operation of the bank branch, we were granted an extremely short deadline for the project. This is difficult to reconcile with the lengthy purchase time of 2 months average, provided by the only available supplier. In order to meet certain expectations during the works, it was necessary to involve other professionals (e.g. locksmiths), which posed a further challenge for us in terms of cooperation and coordination of tasks.
Solutions of H1 Systems:
For the security modernisation of bank branches, our colleagues have used more than 400 hours of work and are ensuring the seamless operation of the branches to this day. In order to ensure the secure opening and closing of branch offices day by day, our colleagues replaced the devices to more modern ones outside the working hours of the employees of the branches and during nighttime. Critical systems were rewired on weekends, during the closed period of the bank branch. During the project, our colleagues involved in security technology had to adapt to a very strict standard set by the staff of banking security. The set requirements has enabled us to obtain in-depth knowledge in many areas of the banking sector, which we will apply in our further security projects involving the banking sector.
